History

Nijland is a Dutch company founded in 1978. From its original base in Holten, Nijland initially sold eggs to the retail market. Soon after, in response to the growing demand for fresh poultry products, the company branched out into producing and selling a wide assortment of chicken and turkey products. From day one onwards Nijland has grown steadily and in 1997 this led to the move to significantly larger premises in Goor. The current location has already been extended twice. Further growth was assured in 2005 when Nijland acquired the poultry packaging company Westra in Leeuwarden. As an independently owned company, Nijland takes great pride in providing top quality service and excellent products to both existing and new customers.
